Honestly it's forced me to go down the rabbit hole myself. First siding with the skeptics; more recently adopting a neutral stance (UpOnly for FTX conflama, The Chopping Block for everything)
Epic conclusion! I’m excited for what’s next. I will miss the allegorical whimsy of your written stuff, but I’m excited to hear more of good ol’ affable PJ off the cuff.
Bad Bets was rad too btw. I definitely heard you and Sruthi in that.
(Especially if the questions you tackle have 'obvious' answers that 'everyone' knows - I love a good fact-based rug-pull that leaves you thinking "dammit, all this stuff is more interesting than I could ever have guessed.")
Actually, that's not quite right: I like it when someone makes something "boring" suddenly interesting, and then you kinda hate them a bit because you'd written that topic off in your mind and the world felt more manageable, yet somehow emptier - so you hate them a bit, but you're thankful too.
"Confused", I think I mean. Recreational confusion. That.
Really excited for anything you produce. Will be anticipating and will also be resisting perfection in the meantime. That phrase hit me in the face and I wanted you to know.
The show was great, and it indeed help me pass time while doing laundry! As is always the case with anything truely great, it wasn't just about its main subject. I loved to dive into the cryptocurrency world, but I also loved all the side stories. It was light and fun at times, heavier sometimes, quite poetic too. I was sorry to see that it didn't fully finance itself. I can't wait to hear this new show! I love your reporting, and I'm curious to see what you will be able to make in a conversational show.
Congratulations for ending Crypto Island with such a great episode, and good luck with what's to come!
When people ask (not often) I usually say that I turn white papers into tweets for a living (I had no idea this was a thing that one could do when I joined Twitter in 2007, in a lemming-like librarian fashion). But really, deep down, my goal in life is to eliminate "stakeholders" from the world. Since I have worked almost exclusively in the nonprofit and governmental sectors, it's a tall order. Your drinking game might just be the solution. Thank you.
I’m excited for this new show. There are lots of “call up people and learn about something” shows, and their success depends on the brains and talent of the team behind in—two things you have in spades. I’ve never heard anyone who comes up with such evocative metaphors. And a steady stream of them! I think it’s going to be great.
WEEKLY twice a month is solid, as far as jokes go
Hey PJ, random internet stranger here. Just want to say I’m glad you’re making stuff, and I think the world is better for it existing.
Good luck - looking forward to hearing more from you. Experimentation is key to growth in my opinion. Have fun!
Excited for the new show! Congrats, PJ.
thanks Seth!
I really enjoyed Crypto Island, and I'm glad you're back, PJ. I look forward to listening to Weekly and watching it evolve.

Happy Holidays!
Thank you for all that you do. Excited for the new show!
This was a beautiful episode, and while it made me sad (maybe I should have folded some laundry), it felt right for the end of the year.
I'm *well* up for this new show.

Just a little message to say thank you!

Looking forward to it and will happily pay to support!
Curious if WEEKLY has a double meaning since it’s only twice a month. Can you give us a hint?
Mysteries abound!

Yay!!
Super excited for this!
