A new story for you
I’ve got a story for you about a very strange auction for perhaps the most expensive piece of paper in the world.
(If you haven’t listened to the extended Crypto Island trailer yet, please listen to that first. The intention of the series is for each piece to connect to the one before it.)
There’s a piece of audio in this story that comes pretty early on, that has nothing to do with Constitution DAO, but when I heard that piece of audio I knew I wanted to do a story about this topic. I just enjoyed it too much to not share it. Often the genesis for a story is just one moment that it would be cool for strangers to experience.
Anyway, maybe you’ll be able to guess the moment.
I’ll have something new for you again in just a few days, it’s very different from this one but connected to it. I’m enjoying the creative challenge of trying to leave breadcrumbs between these stories.
One more thing — if you happen to listen to this on the big expensive Apple headphones, the Airpods Max, first of all congratulations on your purchase. But second, please turn off spatial audio. It seems to do something crazy to the mix of this podcast! I’m not sure what, I hope to have it fixed soon.
Thanks for listening,
PS Below are some links to some material you might find interesting once you’re done listening. Don’t click through before you listen to the story, unless you’re one of those perverse people who loves a spoiler.

This is ridiculously well done, awesome job PJ. This is some really great storytelling.
I've got ~80 pages of documentation of some of the major plot points on the whole thing from the inside from the beginning. I also have some great audio clips if you're interested :)
I’m considering forming a DAO that would fund a single podcast show that has PJ sit down with Alex Goldman and talk about everything that went down at Gimlet and Reply All. It would be a fascinating story. That said, great new stuff PJ. I realized now what I missed about Reply All once you left. You.
